Metallic Grinding/Rubbing When going WOT?

Hey guys. Noticed on the highway going say 65 mph and I floor it all the way (enough to hit the kickdown button), I hear a metallic noise and it doesn't sound nice at all. Sounds like its coming from the Passenger half of the car but I have no idea what it is. Any ideas?

Just a guess, but if it is coming from the passenger side, it could be your blower fan for heat/ac. Not sure that flooring it would cause this to get better/worse, but I have a similar noise. To confirm this, turn off your fan when you hear it. If it goes away, you know what to replace.

Good idea thanks. I replaced the blower motor with an aftermarket fan earlier this year... I hope cheaping out with OEM doesn't bite me in the ass but if it does I don't mind, at least it isn't something mechanical

Let me know if that's it. I have been too lazy to replace mine. It would be nice to know if I should avoid aftermarket and stick to OEM.
