E92 wing mirror cover fitting

Hey all,

I've just replaced a damaged E92 Lci wing mirror cover with another one. The new doesn't seem to clip in at the bottom like the original. Both covers are identical and had the same part number. It's almost as if the bottom isn't clipping in fully.

The top has a uniform gap all around until the bottom area which has a larger gap by about 3-5mm. I have taken it off and refitted a million times and it's always the same.

Is the usual after refitting a cover? It does feel quite sturdy and requires a bit of force to remove (although nowhere near as much as was required to remove it in the first place).

Anyone does this and had a similar result?
