How many levels are you away from a jet?
My boss' boss' boss' boss is getting a new one next week.
Apparently it's not as easy as picking up a new car (FAA blah blah blah). One of my coworkers said he finds that Lears are too cramped and the ice makers often are faulty. ![]() |

When you, or the business you own, makes $50M annually, then you can get a jet. Although it is never a "smart" decision if economics matter at all... to me it's status and convenience.

I've flown in corporate jets a bunch of times. (Advice: do whatever you have to do to avoid needing to use the facilities.) A nearby neighbor has one, costs him $460K/yr in maintenance and he can't even fly it anymore. It's for sale.
I'll never own one. I'd rather have a little helicopter. Nearby neighbor has one of those too. |

I don't think I will own a private jet as private property.
If I am RICH ENOUGH , maybe within the llc or corp, and get personal hours like most of executives do. BTW, State of Maryland is selling bunch of Bell helicopter and going for $400k avg right now.

With all the new private jet services popping up (JetSuite, NetJets, etc.) I find it difficult for any person or company to justify owning a private jet unless they are traveling A LOT. Of course I guess if your balance sheet his 8 zeros on it, gotta spend it on something. :P

Only jet I plan on is a Koenigsegg One:1. Anything smaller is a Porsche Carrera GT in a few years.

I looked it up and the aircraft is 14 mil. Someone at work joked they think it's enrolled in uber jets so it makes more money when we want, and stays in the hangar when we don't.
