I did a search on Cars.com and did find a couple of stealerships selling them at MSRP. I would never pay over MSRP for any car. Unless I start shitting $100 bills.

Asking prices are irrelevant. There's a house in my neighborhood that they are asking close to double what I think it is worth. Still sitting 7 month after it was listed.

If he actually gets it then good for him, not like everyone doesn't know the MSRP and what the markup is.

If I was able to get one of the first ones at a reasonable price I would probably do the same for about a month. "I like this car but there is a number where it is gone immediately". If it doesn't sell who cares, just wasted the cost of an ad.
