So I found out after much searching.
'engine speed to low, select a lower gear if the driving situation allows you to do so' That's a bit embarassing. Mocked by my own car |

I should confess the whole story. I called my local BMW indie, they are very good. I described the symbol, and they expressed it 'did not ring a bell', and couldn't remember seeing it before. They advised me to come in so they could check the fault memory.
I had to call them back and explain what it was, he said, 'my dad has probably seen that a few times'. |

What did you do to make it come on?
I've stalled mine a few times by braking for junctions and not declutching early enough. Never seen that symbol before though! |
