Please Help Sound/CIC problem, video attached.
The sound keeps cutting off and on and sometimes the "no warning tones" appears on the CID. Everything else seems to work fine including the Nav. Did a reset did not help, also pulled the CIC out and checked the wires and they seem fine and so do the ones in the back by the amp. The sound cuts off every 2-3 sec, sometimes it will stay on for 20-30 sec before it cuts off... Really weird. Maybe hard drive going bad? Hope you can help if possible. Car is a 2011 e93 328

or http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=27 You might want to check your battery to. If you have the L7 system the amp is connected via fiberoptic cables . If have hi fi its analog . if you have stereo you don't have an amp. If it does this to audio and you not playing anything off the hard drive I don't think it would be the hard drive. Good point about the HD. I just got off the phone with Bmw and they were nice enough to bring the codes I found to the foreman. He said its a bad CIC since the display is working. I do have the Hk L7 system. Codes I have are: C517 CIC:connection head-unit to GPS aerial footpen circuit A468 CID: External open circuit(LVDS data line) A46D CID malfunction due to periphery I find it hard to believe the unit is bad since everything else but the sound is working but you never know... |

e93 has specific problem that roof or it's drains became clogged and water goes into rear left compartment in trunk or under rear seat and damages bluetooth/usb module or amplifier, which are connected over MOST bus
after that there are such problems with sounds

I would try to find which most modules you have
I would try to find which most modules you have.
Then the standard procedure is to bypass them with a most jumper . When the sound becomes solid you have the offending module. It its the amp then about the only thing you can do is swap the amp . |

Finally got it fixed. Went to BMW and bought a most jumper... After no luck with all the modules... Ended up being the jumper underneath the driver footwell. There went my whole Saturday ... Glad I got it fixed. Thanks guys!
