When i take any sort of left turn theres a whining noise coming from the steering column. It doesn't affect the tightness or how the car turns at all its just kind of annoying. When the steering wheel is at resting position or any degree to the right it doesn't whine. I think may be something with the PS fluid, or the steering column its self. Ill have a noise uploaded later when i have time. Any one else have this problem? If so what did you do to fix it?

Steering column boot. there was just a post revolving around the same issue. OP posted a quote from the dealership I believe it was diagnosed as the steering column boot.

It was the steering column boot for me as well last year

Do you remember how much the replacement cost was?

Other post OP said $850 from dealership. Which seems really high.

Mine was under warranty. After work I'll check my invoice and tell you the amount of labour hours

Sweet thanks, it'll be under my warranty but its more of a time issue with this because i have a few other things i need to take care of from the dealership.

can't you reserve a loaner at your dealership? i know not all dealerships do.. mine is very good with loaners but you need to reserve one and the wait is around 3 weeks. but other dealerships in toronto only give loaners out to people who have an m series or 7series and even then its only in their first year of ownership… thats not right

I believe the dealership i go to gives loaners if they keep your car for over 3 days.
