e93 water in trunk/boot

Hi all-do any e93 owners think it is a good idea to run a bead of silicone in the top boot/trunk gutter just forward of the rear lights to stop water getting in?-good or bad idea/-thanks

Bad idea.

Just make sure your drains are clean and clog free.

Thanks but I know its nothing to do with the drains -the water is running into the boot/trunk from under the rubber seal around the top.

Can the water run behind the storage box in the boot side-or does it just fill it up?

Maybe we are talking about a different area. Can you post a picture?

Before doing any of that, I would suggest cleaning all your seals and treating with a couple of round of gummipfledge. If that doesn't work then try Krytox.
