What's With All The Challengers??

I'm sure I'm not the only one this happens to but down here in Texas it seems the minute someone sees that you have a 335 they start posing for a race on the streets.

While I don't street race, it appears that this is a regular thing that Posers on the prowl come seeking a race. I've been goaded (never given in though) by 370Zs, Camaros, Stangs and even Challengers/Chargers and Subbies but mostly it's been 370Zs.

What do you do when this happens and what type of cars have you been challenged by? I know most of you do not street race but I'm sure you get posed on by Street Racers.

Doesn't happen around here... Never really.

I had a guy in a Silverado try to "race" me from the light so he could cut me off when the road narrowed up ahead, but that's all...

I had a blacked out Challenger Hellcat try to race me but I couldn't do it cause I knew the outcome. However, when I install the PS2 turbo in a 2-3 months, I may try to run against it. I think the only reason he tried to race me was because my car is all blacked out completely, but I wish I had a GT3RS to embarrass that Hellcat.

Cantcatchme, after you do PS2 and TBI, you just may beat that Hellcat. Google the Hellcat vs the Tesla u-tube video for reasons why. ;-P

Those are the next two things coming up. I hope I can at least keep up haha. There's a 1/2 mile event happening in the summer so hopefully I race a few of them.

I'm in MD and it's almost ALWAYS a Subaru that tries me. Like the moment they see my car... the douchecanoe in them emerges.

it must be the way you drive.I m not saying it happens all the time , but most of the time this is the case.

honestly the only times I have been challenge by other drivers is when I m driving aggressive even then I have already saw them in my back mirror trying to catch me so I just slow down and they go away.
It's almost like some people want to prove they can go faster than you...

If Im driving normally nobody cares about me on the road

Sorry I forgot to mention , if a car is heavily modded it also attracts a lot of attention . I used to have it with my civic , even if I was driving slow

I find some people in slow cars go out of their way and rev the hell out of their car just to overtake or pull ahead of me at a traffic light. Or if I pull off faster than them they will exceed the speed limit just to catch up and pass me.
Doesn't happen when I'm driving a more standard car.

I experience the EXACT same thing almost on a daily basis. Majority of the time it's the drivers in econobox cars that drive like they have something to prove.

Strangely enough, I had a Cadillac CTS try to race me last night. It was about a 2004-05 sedan, with a 30 day tag. Not even a V!
When it's 25 outside, and my oil is cool, I'm not pushing my car past 3k RPMs

Yeah I encounter the POS ricers too. I've come to realize though, that nearly every person residing in my area is an actual shitty person. They always have to be at the front of the line, always have to have the last word, and are oblivious to everything but their own desires.
TLDR: everyone on the road is a complete asshole.

Or if I pull off faster than them they will exceed the speed limit just to catch up and pass me. Doesn't happen when I'm driving a more standard car.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
