New to the BMW world

Hey all! i just traded in my 2009 g37x for this 2011 328i e92 with 49k on it..it is still under CPO and has a slight wine\whirle when i drive it in the lower rpms. from what i ave read i believe it might be power steering pump or altenator? anyway it is so solid and i love it so far just having trouble finding a comfortable seating position...any suggestions or anything i should look out for?

Do you have lumbar support?

I always start with the seat at its lowest setting and as far back as possible.
Then move forward until your legs are comfortable. At this stage don't adjust the steering yet. Move the back of the seat and start adjusting the hight.
You should slowly get into a position you will feel comfy. Now you can move the steering to reach you.
Ensure your arms are not stretched and should have a little curve.

Why did you choose to take a jump back in performance?

I'm guessing you don't have the sport package either, which explains the uncomfortable seats.

Post a picture - it's pretty easy to see the difference. If it has the adjustable thigh support extension it is a sports seat, if not you have the crappy non-sport seats than no one wants.

I like the non sport seats :/ Maybe my legs are too short to require additional thigh support.

My '11 328xi whines a little too, i assumed it was the xDrive system. It's pretty quiet, and the car is CPO so I figure it's not anything to worry about.

Doubt it's steering pump if rpms are a factor. Could be weather related? I'm not sure what the temps are there but I have a whine at low rpms all winter. Goes away when weather warms up

She looks great by the way! And welcome!

Welcome and congrats! Two years and I've still not found a comfortable seating position =]
Whine - perhaps belt and tensioner? Just had mine replaced for that.
