I too will be gone until Sunday

I'm about ready to leave for Munich and the home of BMW for the weekend. Just taking a break and seeing a few sights. I probably won't be able to get any decent pictures because I broke my camera yesterday

. Therefore, I will only have my phone to take some quick snaps.

I just hope that I don't get the weird transmission failure warning. Then again, there are plenty of BMW service centres around and I can always call the Service Mobile. I also paid extra (I can't remember how much, but it was really cheap) for the Mobility Plus plan so they will arrange to get me back to Stuttgart if something happens. Nevertheless, I hope everything will be smooth sailing

Enjoy the trip....

That 320d is such an excellent long distance runner...the engine just puuurrrrsss on the highway - right in it's sweet spot! I'm jelous...

Thanks everyone. I'm now back safe and sound.

The trip back was pretty decent. For the most part I managed to sit between 140km/h and 190km/h except for when the A8 goes through the mountains and traffic slows down. We also managed to make it back about half an hour before the snow started.
The trip there wasn't as relaxing. Being a Friday night there was a lot of traffic and couple that with heavy fog in some places and a trailer that disconnected from a truck when it pulled out of a rest area, it was pretty slow going. However, the navigation system sent us around the worst of it. But the best part was, it only used a little over half a tank for a 450km round trip.

Munich itself was very nice, albeit very cold. Because of the cold it was a bit difficult to do anything outside, but we managed to see a couple of sites. Most of the time was spent in the various beer halls though.
