Been to both multiple times.

Japan >>>>>> Europe.

Classier, better culture, better food, cleaner, nicer people, best train/subway system in the world, nicer people, and did I mention cleaner?

Tokyo is one of my favorite destinations in the world, maybe top 2. I would consider living there it's so good.

I'd go to japan. Europe can't handle more Americans. Be aware northern Europeans bite.

Nice! One of my wife's friends just moved to Seoul last fall; her husbands parents bought them a house there. She's from Korea but has lived here in FL for the past 10yrs. We plan to visit within the next couple years.

There's 50 countries in Europe and each are quite different. I like this spice of variety, and have been to quite a few of these countries.

However, I don't prefer one over another, other than familiarity-wise, which I think plays a larger factor for some than others. Beijing hold a special place, as does Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto, only because they are quite different from the States and Europe, but have deep cultural roots.

I've been to 10 countries in Europe and also Tokyo, Osaka and Tatsunokuchi (Nomi)

Japan is beautiful once you leave the hustle of Tokyo and head out to the countryside. I love going to both but flight time to Europe and ease of travel between different countries to see different things make Europe my choice. A couple years ago for my birthday I had breakfast in Prague and dinner in Paris. Can't beat that. Also the fact that 90% of Europe now speaks English or French makes it easy for communication purposes.

Japan.

I've traveled all across Europe and to me it all starts to blend into the same after a bit. I'm pretty much over it. I havent spent that much time in Asia so Japan, HK, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam are all on my to go lists.

Don't hate because I'm trilingual.

Montrealers aren't offended anymore. I travel to Montreal every couple months (wifey is a frenchie) and I only break out into my French when I'm in Northern Quebec because they really really don't speak English.

Hell they barely speak French there...like someone from the Bayous of Louisiana think Sara504

Now that the Bloc Quebecois suffered a beat down in the last election everyone is free to speak English.
