Vehicle Order Tracking -- Order Detail

Based on my review of posts, I understand that the BMW Owners Circle doesn't provide a lot of details on your order. I have a related question.

I've got my Production Number and see that the configuration I ordered (325xi, Sonora metallic, Terra leather, sports package, and fold-down rear seats) has moved to "Scheduled for Production." What concerns me is that when I go to the "Review Order Details" screen, I don't see Terra leather listed under the subheading "Factory Ordered Options." What's listed is as follows:

Fold Down Reat Seats
Sport Package
Wood Trim

The "Model Description" and "Exterior Description" fields on the screen are correct ("325xi" and "Sonora Metallic" respectively), but it's the Terra leather part I'm concerned about.

Is it normal not to see upholstery type and color on this screen? Should I be hounding my dealer about this?

From what I hear on the posts, sometimes the info on the OC website is not accurate. For peace of mind, I suggest a friendly call/email to your dealer/sales advisor and ask him to email you a print screen of the information on his DCS screen.

My dealer provides that, evertime I ask for it. Good luck!

I dunno if hounding is the right word but I'd just ask your CA to check their order tracking info as it's much more accurate. They should be able to send you an exact printout of your car's specs. My CA emailed me what he copied off that site and mailed me a screen print so I could confirm my order.

it should not be under factory ordered options. in my case it was under interior description. i highlighted that section on the posted pic. if it's not showing up on your OC panel, i don't really know if it's something to worry about since the whole OC tracking is pretty shaky and inaccurate. but if you worry too much, you can still call you dealer and check.

I dont see what kind of trim I have under Factory Ordered Options. Anyway to find out?

The burl walnut is standard so it won't show up on the option list. Otherwise, check with your CA.

A lot of times the options don't even show-up until delivery time.

I would definitely check on the leather though, since you're ordering it as a stand-alone option.

I contacted my sales rep. but didn't hear back from him, so I called BMW NA (1-800-831-1117) and talked to a customer service rep. She pulled up my order on their more detailed tracking system and confirmed that Terra leather was part of my configuration. Was also able to tell me that my car is currently in the paint shop -- pretty neat.

Wow ...my order is in status 152 too (paint shop) ... do you know which plant your e90 is being produced? You can refer to your VIN (you should have it by now). My order is coming out of the Regensburg, Germany Plant : Plant code 'P'. Our cars maybe part of the same batch

Per my VIN, my car is being built in Munich. It's a 325xi. Don't know if all xi models are built in Munich. I negotiated a deal and ordered my configuration less than 2 weeks ago and, according to BMW NA, it should complete production by the end of this week. I got lucky because there was an open slot in the production schedule they were able to slip me into. Hope to take delivery end of March/beginning of April
