I need a new, cheaper, fun car.
Doesn't have to be "New" just needs to still be in warranty. I just won a lemon law suit with my 335i and due to current market trends, desire to own property and increased living expenses I need to down size. This is VERY difficult for me.
I'm looking for under ~$400 a month payments, a nice and fun car, little down, 6 speed manual, rear wheel or awd, relatively good gas mileage like 18+. I have a few options in mind, like an '04/05 330Ci, New WRX STi/Mitsu Evo, G35 Sedan, Mustang GT, or one off the myriad of sporty crossovers. I am a car nut, and I like and hate so many things about so many cars. I love(d) my 335i, everything about it, but don't like the $695 a month payment + $400 a month car insurance, and the lack of reliability. Any ideas/opinions? |

Mitsubishi Evolution X.
I saw one today; Evo, not Lancer; and it looks awesome. Recently, Evo's have been getting slightly heavier and more safe. They are under $35,000 and great cars. As a matter of fact, one big car magazine compared the 335xi to the new STI (which is ugly and gay) to the Evo X (pretty sweet car ). That statement written above is only if you do not want another BMW. I understand all the problems that 335's have, but, nothing is going to be like a BMW. SO! Get a E46 330 or M3. They can be found for under $30,000 with a good amount of options. |

Wow, $400 a month for insurance. What did you do that your premium was so high? And as far as payment goes, these days you can have a very low payment but with like 84 or more monthly payments. But I wouldn't recommend it. The cars you listed is not that much downgrading, some of them still in 30K. Good luck.

Or check the marketplace here. I transfered my car to another member, and payment was only $450.00/month for a 335i.

Oh, and this is what i've encountered.
Jan/07 build E92 335i 14,400 exactly Brought in twice for Headlight leveling issue (was pointing at the sky) Then right after had to have the computer updated because the AC kept switching between face and defroster, and the iDrive kept crashing. Then brought it in for a hyper annoying squeak from the rear wheels Then an oil change... Then i had to have the fuel pump replaced. oh, and then I had to bring it in because the engine malfunction light came on, this ended up being a Vanos problem. They replaced a solenoid after a week of trouble shooting. That didn't fix it, so I brought in in again and they said they found "debris" in the vanos system. After all is said and done, I got the buy back offer yesterday. They're giving me $12,000 cash and I walk away from the lemon. |

Brand new Evolution X, hands down. It's mod friendly and has more than enough power stock. This just look super sexy...

How about an E90 328i? Get it with ZSP, Xenon headlights, no-cost paint option like JB or AW, leatherette and you're all set I can even refer you to a dealer who will work with you on a great deal.
