Question for Mods: What Forum SW?

I lead a large engineering team that is spread out across the world. I have been looking for creative ways to get knowledge shared across the team more effectively. Forums like this one beat all the corporate tools I have seen deployed by our IT department.

I'd like to try deploying a forum inside my company's firewall, and set up threaded discussions just like we do here.

What product do you use for this forum? I see that the overall site is hosted by wordpress. Are you using the wordpress forum plug-in, or something else?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Wordpress?

It's vBulletin. Only the front page is Wordpress.
