Obviously not a drivetrain modification, but I posted here since this is my neighborhood and I don't consider the seats a cosmetic mod.

Wow, those look great! And you can use the stock belts, nice. You're very welcome, glad to see the parts getting good use.

@[mmmnot Seats are Recaro Profi XL. The standard Profi is a perfect fit for me at 145 lbs and 5'7". I chose the larger sized XL as a courtesy to my passengers and because I want the driver and pax seat to match. Bases and side mounts are Planted.

All-in including labor for the pax side was < $2k. Pricing is atypical. Everything just sorta fell into my lap in a short window. Pete generously provided mounting hardware, and the seats popped up locally by another forum member 1MOREMOD.

I installed the drivers seat successfully. The Planted people helped me with the pax side. The XL seats are a tight fit compared with the standard SPG. In lieu of an OC3 emulator I bought an OEM Seat Occupancy Mat from Europe, and repurposed the stock wiring block from the OE seat. I wanted the SRS to function as stock because DD.

Someone local has an AW Msport lci 6mt in the cca classifieds. He calls it his unicorn and wants 35k. Talk about a premium on manual wagons.

All you need is the pedal work, clutch lines/stuff and the manual box itself plus MAYBE a driveshaft. No need to buy a whole car. DME does need to be reprogrammed from what I understand tho. Guy doing it on here now. Forget who tho...

I'm pretty sure there's a lot of little stuff (switches, brackets, etc), I'm thinking it'd be easier to just start with a whole (wrecked) car than bother trying to order every little part. Plus, I think it might actually end up cheaper if I part the car out afterwards and use the cash to offset the cost of the swap.
