Wow@bimmette! Kudos!
My old man wanted a new Deauville back in the end 70s/80s(but too expensive @ Dutch ditributor so a no) and he ended up with a 1963 Jag MkII 3.4 5 speed(4 + overdrive) fwiw. Oldtimer so to speak. And so cheap at that time. But Deauville, Longchamp, 80s QP Maserati, I have a weak spot for them(and for Jags in general) And off course Iso Grifo(7 litri please) Pantera...I prefer 512BB or Countach sorry. Cheers Robin

Kind of curious because it use to drive me nuts when people would lift my car cover and mess with my cars when they were in a parking garage. Now this is potentially the second time on this forum that I've seen someone doing it. It makes me wonder how common it is and if it really is an acceptable practice or should people really not be messing with other peoples belongings. I can be a little odd at times so perhaps it's just me.

What pisses me off is when they have the cover tied up too tight and I have to yank it open. But on a better note. I do put down the cover the way it was... carefully! |

Good Point. My folks do check the car as thoroughly as possible as a part of restore/cleanup before we send it to private auctions.
We have had some interesting finds in the past including some things that had to have local law and federal enforcement teams to get involved. |

I would love to hear more about this process. Can you share how the car gets in your possession all the way until you auction it off?
