Replacing Front F30 Seats

I am in the process of swapping my interior. I know the front seats have airbags. I don't want to disconnect the seats and it throw codes when I plug up the new seats.

Needing some advice/help!

Is it as simple as just disconnecting the battery?

What kind of seats do you have, and what kind of seats are you switching to?

Swapping in a different color set of factory seats.

Just replace the seats with the car turned off

I am thinking you will have to disconnect the battery to prevent any errors being logged.

you will likely need to swap the control modules under the seats as well (take your existing and mount it on the new seats), and battery disconnected while swapping
