Servicing in Herts area

Hey all I have a 435d on a 64 plate and need a service to be done. I live near Watford so nearby would be best. I don't want to go to a main dealer as I have a Steinbauer box fitted and lowering springs. However I dot want to invalidate my warranty either.

Cheers

You can go to any garage, as long as you use and have receipts for, genuine oem parts.

The garage you use has to VAT registered and use genuine parts.
Why are bothered about warranty? If something goes wrong, you can't take it back to the dealer with the springs and backbox fitted anyway.

Not quite correct.

You have to be a VAT registered garage that's correct, re using genuine parts you can when ordering request block exemption parts as the servicing falls under the block exemption rule, hence other garages can service a car that is under the manufacturers warranty as long as you follow the rules by either using block exemption parts or playing it safe and use OEM parts, re if something goes wrong with the car you can go back to the dealer with an issue as long as the issue isn't directly effected by the modified component (this one some may find may be a little more difficult to work with if a problem arises and you need to visit the dealer with a warranty issue) but if you had an engine fault for instance they couldn't say they wouldn't cover it due to the fact that you had a different set of wheels on the car for instance or even an exhaust, but if the modification directly had an influence re the problem then that would be a different conversation.
