Porsche GT3rs

Well Happy Easter..........TO ME!

Had some friends and family over for Easter. My friend came over in his wife’s car and I asked "dude it’s a perfect day, where is the RS?" He said it’s at home and didn’t feel like parking it outside for 5+hours. Then I asked if it was broken in yet. He said "1,200 miles, hop in the golf cart and let’s go get it!"

WOW!!!!! I have been in m3's, old gt3's, and 360's yet I have never had such an amazing experience. The interior and the feel of the seats were PERFECT. It felt like I was on top of a girl while giving her the time of her life by the way they grabbed me! The quality of the interior is an -A, for it was very nice, but not F430 quality, yet placement and choice of materials were great.

We took a 10min ride and hit around 130MHP. The power delivery was firm and crisp. It is not like other performance cars I have been in, for it pulls strong for way down low. From 3 to 4 to 5th the car pulled just as hard as it did in second. I never felt a decrease in power; he said you can start feeling it more so around 140-150. We had it in sports mode so the butterfly in the exhaust was open, and it sounded like I was in a RACE gt3 on some race track. I didn’t get the chance to feel the breaks or how it handled for we straight lined it. The crazy thing is that a GT3rs starts becoming even more eye opening when you hit the twistys.

I also was surprised with the ride. I was expecting it to ride firm and rough. Sure it was firm, but it was not harsh by any means. Very solid and seemed like it could be a nice everyday car as far as comfort for you everyday 30min trip to work or school.

Overall I was amazed and if I had 150+grand to throw at a car, I would have to grab an orange or green gt3rs.

I didn’t have my Iphone or a camera so I grabbed one pic of the car I took last month. SORRY GUYS. I will get more later.

It is a 08 GT3rs and he left the decals off. I like them without them personally.

Thanks for letting my share my experience.

I've never ridden in either, but if you were to actually drive the car on the street I hear the GT3 is the car to have because the RS is balls to the wall insane. Though a lot of magazine editors are pussies, they always rag on Lotus for shitty ride/comfort without realizing what cars like that are for. (Track and insane people on the street, I'd rock them every day)

Very true! The only thing that would bug me about the RS is that it is a bitch to get in, and out of.

That may be true, but it's even worse for a Lotus. If you're over like 5'5", you'd have to basically fall out of the car to get out. You look retarded trying to get in too. Not exactly impressing the ladies with that move lol.

Huh??? What's so hard about getting in and out of it? Although a bit lower it's basically a regular 997 as far as getting in/out is considered.

I do agree with the Elise (especially Exige). I'm 6'-0" and it is a bit awkward, but you forget all about that as soon as you start driving.

That looks amazing. White goes really well with the GT3. Contrasts really well with the wheels and trim.

The white is soooo much nicer than the black/orange and other garish colors. Very nice car.

Well I am 6'1 and athletic, yet it was not fun to get in & out of. It is hard to explain. Because it is low, the pillars come out far, you have a small space to land on, you have nothing to grab, and the side skirts come up high making you step up and over then falling down. Once you are in its money, but if you drove it everyday you would have a bunch of scuff marks form shoes and grab marks everywhere. The 360 is cake to get in and out of compared to this RS.

That is my favorite porsche of all, ideally I prefer the GT3-RS but the GT3 will defintelly do it for me. This car represents the raw performance of Porsche, the engine screams and the handling is..oh boy, the handling!!

Congrats on the car.

Thanks buddy, although I think you mis-read. It is my friends 08 GT3 rs. I wish I could own one, but I would rather have a m3 and a 750i personally.

Yes. Well actually when you order it you have the option to have them put on, or they give them to you in a box so you can put them on later if wanted.
