JB4 Car starting issue
Buddy has a PWG N55 and I Installed his JB4 and everything seemed to be alright. I went over the whole install multiple times to confirm all the plugs and placing. Its an older harness and does not have any FF wires however there was a plug set that did not seem to go to anything so I simply left it and tucked it away. (I went over the install instructions multiple times due to this issue.) My buddy just told me that ever since his JB4 was installed that if he lets the car sit for a good amount of time that the car has issues starting. It trys and trys for maybe 5-10 sec and then finally starts. i was talking with Mike form N54 tech and It could be either my JB4 install went wrong somewhere, which is very possible or that something is wrong witht he car. Its still under warranty so I told him to bring it to the dealer. same dealer I use and they are super mod friendly. I take my F30 there for service with the JB4 still in it. Just curious if anyone else has had this issue and if so what they looked for or checked to fix it.

Was the JB4 bought used?
Did you double check connection and made sure you installed the correct firmware? Did you contact Burger Tuning and sent them pictures of the install?? BTW it is mike from N54tuning not N54tech. N54tech is the Burger Tuning forum, 2 completely separate companies

I have not contacted them yet. That is my next step. It is a used unit. I'll get in touch with them today.

remove jb4, see if issue persists.
if it does not persist w/o jb4: check all connections and that those grey lock tabs are all in, check firmware(where my issue was), there is new PWG firmware out i believe. Good luck, hope it gets resolved!

Yes double check all connections as a start, which I think I mentioned in my email to you should be the first thing to do as you said it worked fine initially.

I will do that when I get a chance to get my hands on his car. As my buddy lives 40 minutes away from me its a bit hard to get to him. It also sucks that he is not really mechanically inclined when it comes to stuff like this so Ill be the one who has to do it.
