Share what you've learned/discovered about your F48 X1 today

My wife and I did ED for a 2016 X1 and M3 respectively, back in April. In following the M3 forum, I've learned that many of the M3 features are carried over to the X1.

1) The side mirror (if closed) automatically opens at 25 mph
2) Regardless of HVAC fan level, pressing "OFF" for 2-3 sec turns it off completely
3) X1 Ambient light at its highest level is 40% brighter than the M3
4) There is a small storage compartment under the headlight switch
5) With engine/electronics off (push stop/start button X 2)
  1. push turn signal to the left, front/rear left parking lights come on
  2. push turn signal to the right, front/rear right parking lights come on
  3. pushing down on the high beam lever, enables exterior/pathway lights for about 30 sec (nice option to have for those dark parking lots)
6) Hover over the radio presets buttons (1-8) without touching, displays what's assigned to each button. You can create shortcuts from the iDrive settings and assign to a preset button of your choice (such as Message Screen, Split Screen Toggle, etc.)

Disclaimer: Reading the manual allows for these and other discoveries.
