Hey guys,

Going catless with my newly ordered Armytrix exhaust. The exhaust comes with an OBD2 dongle that's used for the mobile app for some neat features, which include CEL elimination.

My question is, when taking the car in for service, if the OBD2 adapter is removed, will the car instantly show a CEL or does it need to be driven a while to get the CEL? Assuming the car was locked for 20 minutes or so before being turned on again.

Also on another note, anyone know anything about Armytrix's "cat simulator"?

Most of the time it will need ~ 30 -50 miles before CEL is back on

I have been to dealerships in Lebanon, i honestly dont think they care .. If you get CEL just tell them to ignore it

It really depends on what part of the drive cycle the ECU is in. Could be a couple miles or up to 30-40. Rarely it goes on instantly, but usually takes 10-15 at least to come on.

Exactly what i did today at dealer, told them to ignore cel as i dont have time for them to look at problem and that i will call back to take an appointment

I have catless AR design on mine. They don't care at my dealer. Car is a Full signature Dinan stage 3 and I just tell them not to mess with programming. Light is always on. I got sick of resetting it.

I'm actually testing right now. I have been on Map 0 since friday morning and drove about 15 miles yesterday and 25 today. Waiting to see if a CEL comes on. I have a dealer appt. on tuesday morning and will remove the JB4 monday afternoon but am wondering how long it takes to get a CEL.

I just got a cat simulator soon won't have to worry about that garbage CEL ever. I have yet to install it in my car or even the DP due to getting rear ended :/

Man that sucks--hope it get worked out.

Still no CEL here....hoping after I take the JB4 off It doesn't come on. Then I will have to scramble over to Oreilly and hope they can clear it for me. Edit: turns out auto stores can't clear those here in CA. Guess that law is designed for people like me with DP's.

So, I've went a week on Map 0 and no CEL...getting tired of waiting, so I'm going to go back on Map 1. Maybe I have some miracle DP that is legit.

Before I turn the JB4 back on I decided to check codes and there were a couple. One was Catless Downpipe detected--never got a light but it was there. And there was another one: 122108 BOV plausibility ignore tuner. Have no idea what this is and cannot find too much info on it. I also posted on N54tech to see if anyone knows.

iO2 Cat sim is what I am going to be installing. It has been proven to work for the F30 cars.
