Is this where an oil catch can is fitted?

Hi Guys,

I'm planning to fit an oil catch can and want to check in on the right tracks. The car is a 2009 330d with the N57 so is slightly different to the M57's but from the reading I've done; the setup looks very similar.

From what I can tell; it's the black hose to the left of the inlet that I need to splice into?

Awesome! I've been doing loads of reading on this today. I just need to find suitable fittings that will attach to the breather pipe ends.

Magic. Thanks Phil.
What size hose did you use?
Any details of your setup?

Here's a couple of pics of mine. Not much help to you though, because my engine bay layout's quite different. I'd recommend using reinforced hoses as the ones I first used collapsed under vacuum.
