Who's running JB4 / DP /Pure stage 2 / 92-93 Gas

Real world reviews?

How do you like it? Civilized? Sound?

Should be on this set-up in a month or so....

I'm Jb4, DP and e85 and love the power. Upgrading the turbo has to be just blistering fast.

I plan on running normal gas. Have you just used e85 from the start?

How were the results on normal gas?

I started with 91 and sometimes run a week with only 91 now too. It's much better than stock.
Why wouldn't you try e85? Do you have access to it?

Attached is the dyno result of my car on 93 octane FBO; Pure Stage 2 turbo; Fuel-it stg 2 lpfp and stock tune. JB4, map 6. I have seen better numbers on other cars with the same mods. My car is currently still undergoing fine tuning though.

Since you are a newbie why jump directly to stage 2 turbo?

Start with going FBO first and if still want more power we can discuss the next step

I've just never been good at reading those graphs.

Just wanted to hear what other members thought of their set-ups!

Cheers,

So just go in half empty, throw in 3 gallons, and top her off with 93?

Jesus ok I can do that..

Is E85 just a major game changer?

I dont blame you for wanting max power asap, i planned my mods for a full 6 months and was planning on getting one mod per month so i can enjoy it as much as possible

As soon as i bought the car, i went FBO with a stage 2 fuel pump

It's sad, my car is a 2014 with 6,500 miles on it... I spent countless hours reading about everyones mods and try to nail it on the first time. Major passion for me.

only fuk up was the enzo tune that they couldn't get to work with car?? go figure.

So if I play around with 2-3 gallons of E-85, do I need to do any other upgrades to the car for that type of gas?

JB4 E85 Use

If equipped with the FlexFuel add on connector E85 mixtures may be used with pneumatic wastegate x28i models and the x20i electronic wastegate models. E85 is NOT supported for the electronic wastegate x28i model. When using E85 a mixture of no more than 40% is suggested.

As long as it is suggested to be used on your own car i would start with a very small mix 2 gallons and check the datalogs to make sure everything is running fine

I don't want to bad talk enzo, they are very professional and treated me right. I'm pretty sure i'm the only guy this happened too.

Initial Report to Imola and ENZO

I drove the car home the other night. There is significant hesitation at all RPMs. The best way I can describe it; the car seems to hit a redline at lets say 3,000 RPMs, the engine completely cuts out and RPMs will not climb and further. While this is happening, the engine will bounce on whatever RPM it’s currently on very quickly, like your hitting the max RPM on redline without shifting. This will continue until I let off of the gas. I was able to reproduce the same results on pretty much every pull. The range of RPMs didn’t seem to make a difference, i was able to reproduce it at 3200 and 5500 RMPS. If I babied the car, there didn’t seem to be any mis-fires, it happened under medium to high levels of load.

Further diagnoses by Imola.

Test drove vehicle and found it behaves as noted after DME reinstallation. Intermittently, at about 4000-5000 rpm, usually from a rolling start, it shudders as if ignition misfiring or ignition interrupt (as when shifting). This can last for almost a second. Does not store a fault when it occurs.
There is a fault stored, but it does not seem to be in coincidence with the perceived problem:
102A22-Hot film air-mass meter, operating range: Air mass too high, occurred once at 7086 miles at 6800 rpm at 1107 kg/h air mass, 100% accelerator pedal angle.
Test drove again fault recurred (total twice stored) with no apparent problem or fault indicator.
Decided to check for possible intake leaks. Found no problems upon visual inspection. No leaks found upon smoke and boost leak tests.
Fault information specifies that the fault is stored when the air mass exceeds 1050 kg/h, which seems likely with increased engine power/air flow. It would seem that this fault may not be related to this drivability problem and may be "normal" for a tuned DME.
Suspect calibration/coordination error between DME and EGS.

Video of it in action.

I was pretty bummed out.. when it did run good, the car was a beast. Just wasn't meant to be.

I would look for 140 hp over your baseline. I haven't tried E85, it's not available in my area.
