Rear fog lights... Only one side?

So, just sorted my LCI tail lights.

Coded using Carly adaptor.

No flickering, no dash warnings. However 2 questions I'm itching about:

1) only passenger side rear fog light turns on. I had a look into the bulb on the other end and it looks intact and not blown. Is this something I did wrong with coding?

2) what parts of the LCI rear lights are in fact NOT LED?

Everyone seems to have different issues with these lights and coding them via CARLY. I only have 6 of the LED brake lights that come on, per side.

From memory the only real bulbs are the fog and reverse ones. All others are LED

Any ideas on how to get the driver side rear fog light working again? The car throws error code "right side rear fog broken".

Everything else is going fine.

Sounds to me like the bulb is dead. It's a 2min job to remove the inner light and whip the bulb out. Swap them round...if the dead bulb moves to the other side, you know it's a dead bulb.

That's the thing... That carpet lining in the boot is NOT easy to get off. Those plastic plug/clips are probably the most annoying thing I've come across on the car. And they all need out to reach the bulb

Have you not got any trim removers? Best thing ever invented. You can get them off Amazon for a fiver.

I'm going to go for it after work today using an old fork + flat head.

Worst case scenario I'll have to fork out £5/10 for new plastic plugs which is hardly killing the bank.

I just hope it's either corrosion or the bulb as the rest of the "daytime running lights" on the inners work fine, flawlessly. No flickering or anything.

Everything else other than this damned fog lamp works a treat with the LCI rears.

Do you have a full sweep of stop light LED's?

Yeah. Since I read your post about only half working I checked TWICE yesterday.

I have:
- ALL yellow turn signal LEDs working on the outer lamps.
- ALL red brake light LEDs working on the outer lamps.
- The whole red bars from the inners flowing out to the outers all uniformly lit with no flickering.
- both reverse lamps working.
- left side fog lamp working (right side throws up the broken error and sure enough it doesn't fire up so will need to repair that).

If it helps, the LCI tails were originally from BMW Battersea ordered in 2012. The wiring adaptor was also from the same location ordered last week.

I have left the reverse lights, rear fog lights, third brake light, front indicators and front fogs bulb checks all intact. Removed the rest of the voltage checks/ warnings.

Ok cool. Out of interest, what lines did you alter in the FRM coding in CARLY?

If you have whatsapp or an email address shoot me your details and I will send across the screen grabs for the whole FRM side of my coding in Carly.

Does sound like bulb issue rather than anything else tbf.

As for the brake led's I think it's still an FRM issue as mine is an early build date as can't see it being a coding issue as the only thing you do is code out the bulb checks.

If it helps I'm driving a 07 plate 325i. I believe it was a May or June build if I'm not mistaken.

Mines a 2006 car so possibly an FRM1 or something. Not sure really but it is puzzling.

Wonder if it tells you on the unit if it's an FRM1 / FRM2 etc? Might try and get a look at it and see what it says.

Easiest thing would have been to swap the bulbs over , put working one in non working one
