Kidney Grills

Hi Guys

I have recently purchased a Sapphire Black LCI E92 - which currently has chrome kidney grills on, however I'm unsure if I should replace these with performance grills...will this look "too black" or should I stick with the full chrome to "break it up"

Opinions welcome

Regards

i may be in the minorty but i prefer the matt grills, just breaks it up a little on a black car.

Def get black grills op, makes a nice difference and aggressive look.

OP. I have a pre-LCI Sapphire Black E92. If it helps this is my front end with BMW kidneys (gloss).

I must be in the minority, I prefer the chrome on Black, I have a black LCI E92 Coupe and never changed mine.

I think the black kidney grill look great on white, silver, grey E92's, just unsure about black.

By coincidence I swapped over my chrome frame/ black slat kidneys for black kidneys on my mineral white E92 tonight, but I’m unsure about them. Not sure if swapping the chrome wing gills to black will sort it out or make it worse. Thought it would be a no brainer to go black.

Ao1 are they OEM performance grills? (Gloss black) if so would you sell them if you decide to go back to original?

On my Ruby Red E46 Individual I kept Chrome rings with black slats

Yes they are OEM performance. Got them on Amazon for £26 from BMW. Great deal.

I generally like the performance gloss black ones on all colour cars as I just don't like the chrome kidneys at all lol.

I think the chrome ones can only be gotten away with on a silver car as it blends better but even then I swapped mine out as soon as I bought the car.
