Lightbulb Downpipe with stock exhaust

Looking to upgrade the exhaust sound of my car without making it too obnoxiously loud, I'm curious to see if anyone here is running aftermarket downpipe with stock exhaust since that's the route im thinking of going.

I have no clue which brand has the best review/vice versa, so any information regarding this setup is greatly appreciated

If anyone has a video of it, please share it with us

Catless + stock exhaust is a very popular choice

The larger the DP gets in the middle the deeper the sound will be
Wagner would be the largest then Evolution Racewerks then VRSF

I'm currently catless DP on stock exhaust and I LOVE how it sounds. Deep and gurgly. I am looking at deleting the resonator though to get a little more sound

What brand is your DP? Do you have a video to share?
Also do you get CEL going catless

Not gonna lie.... I was looking for a little more sound from my 335 so I originally went Wagner catted down pipe after hearing feedback and reviews from some members on here. Fitment and quality are great. I got a nice power increase and more exhaust noise so it is a great route to go. But the reason I say this is I was actually underwhelmed with the small amount the exhaust note changed. Not sure why a lot of the members would say it's remotely even close to being loud (unless I am a completely different demographic or my loud is different then theirs lmao.)

Long story short - aftermarket dp is great with the stock exhaust... I personally would get it paired with a resonator delete or m performance exhaust or you may be disappointed with the sound. If it's only a little noise increase you are looking for... It's great.

I am now running a full turbo back exhaust (AWE with midpipe, with DP) and much better

I have a sound clip I believe. I'll upload it for you later.

I have a 4 inch downpipe on my car with the stock exhaust. It was too quite for me so I cut my muffler open and welded all of the holes closed. It's marginally louder. The next project for me is to build a new 3 inch system from the downpipe to the tips.

I think that's why it's not so loud. i guess it's all subjective anyways. Loud to you may not be loud to me

The best route to go is our Sport Cat Downpipe! You are getting a majority of the horsepower and sound without triggering a CEL. No tuning is required either! Sending you a PM now.
