CIC and Spotify integration?

Is there any way to get Spotify through iPhone to integrate properly with 2010 CIC pro nav so you can use the nav wheel to scroll through songs/playlists, the screen to display current songs/artwork and skip buttons on the steering wheel to work? I have usb connection which seems to work somewhat, in that it displays the 1st song info that I play but I can't use the nav wheel (as it displays my iTunes playlists not Spotify) and the buttons on the steering wheel sometimes skip a song but sometimes they then try to revert to my iTunes music stored on my phone... It also never seems to update the screen with current song info but always displays the 1st song I play. I've tried Bluetooth and it doesn't seem much better.

One solution I have found is to switch to Apple Music instead of Spotify and then everything integrates perfectly through USB... But I have free Spotify at the moment and could extend that another 2 years through my phone contract so would save me £120 a year if I can get it to integrate properly! It's bugging me though so if there isn't a way I might just switch to Apple Music as it works! Is there any other solution?

Yes, you need 6NR bmw apps. I'm able to flash any CIC for this option.

And I can recommend this. Spotify then works seamlessly via the idrive and is controllable via the steering wheel.

The main reason for wanting a Combox was so i could listen to Spotify on my phone using the steering wheel to control it. So with just 6NR BMW Apps is that all i need?

my car is a 330d Lci with Pro nav

Simon I've tried to message you but it will not let me

Thanks
Shane

Agree. Or install it yourself, not too difficult and there plenty of guides about.
