Talking Need Help on Exhaust Decision - 435ix

Vehicle: 435 Xdrive

I am having trouble deciding on which exhaust I want. Unfortunately, I have been unable to hear any of them in person, so I only have videos and forum member experience to rely on.

First, I am unsure if having a valve is really necessary? Are exhaust systems with a valve louder than ones without a valve; assuming the valve is open? Also, which brands offer a valve? So far I know of a few: FI, Meistershaft, CG, Army. Am I missing any?

Next, I am looking for something that is more on the aggressive side, however, I do not want drone, especially on the highway.

It would be nice to get a system for around $2,000, although I am flexible. I prefer to go with quad tips, but again, this may not be a deal breaker. Before I get into picking a diffuser, I need to figure out which system I am set on.

Thanks for looking!

After looking into different exhaust, I went with a muffler delete for $125 and I get nothing but compliments. Bunch of burbles, you can hear the spool and it sounds aggressive. I can email a video of you want

What kind of sound are you looking for?

Gthaus is very aggressive and loud
REMUS is aggressive but has a deep throaty sound to it (no valves)

Adding high flow downpipes will make your exhaust louder and more aggressive as well

Looking for something more agressive. Ive read the gt haus drones because its so loud. But maybe thats the super GT only? I guess i need to figure out if the valve is something i really need.

Got a muffler delete and downpipe, sounds alot nicer than other F30's with proper exhaust systems in my opinion and like the first reply said, alot of compliments. It does drone however but its nothing too bad.

In that price range, AWE is the perfect setup. Sounds really good.

Great thread! I too am pondering which exhaust to purchase. I am going the catless downpipe route, and am thinking armytrix, if I decide to put that much into the exhaust alone. Pricey little unit, but looks well worth it.

I am going to pass on a muffler delete. In my past experiences deleting a muffler results in an uncontrolled exhaust tone with alot of drone. At that point id buy the super GT.

Ill need to look into the armytrix as well. I may as well factor the diffuser price in as well. How much should i expect to pay for getting the m perf diffuser painted?
