Auto trader valuations gone too far?

Noticed today having a browse of AT that they've added a new feature - now under some listings you're shown a highlight indicating whether a car is "good price" or "priced low"

Whilst I understand that it can be helpful to buyers, I think it's a bit misleading. Valuations tend to be subjective anyway but this just focuses attention in the wrong areas in my opinion. Who's to say a "good price" car hasn't been used and abused etc

I'm not averse to change, just not sure what effect it'll have on selling a car on AT. Hopefully savvy buyers will look at value not just price...

I use AT a lot and I do not see that on the US site, but it makes sense because other sites are quoting "true value" prices with links to cars for sale. AT, as far as I know, still has the best search parameters and one of the largest inventories of cars. I think most reasonable buyers and sellers can come together on price, irrespective of a "true value" estimate. For rare cars, sometimes an auction is the only way to determine value, assuming two bidders who really want the car show up.
