Best Exhaust 2013 BMW 328i Convertible?
Any recommendations for an exhaust or muffler for my E93 3.0? Would like a louder exhaust that is wife friendly! Looking at REMUS muffler,( singe side outlet dual tips), BMW PE or AFE.
Thanks |

Soooo many choices.... I have the Cobb Catback and it sounds f...ing amazing. Don't go cheap on any exhaust for your car, or rather any part of your car,& you will be very happy,& so will the car. I would recommend Looking at Cobb , hopefully they have one for your car. Remus is also a great choice. You can look at videos online beforehand for almost every brand if you want to hear the sound before you buy... Good Luck and best wishes.!!👍🏻🙃👍🏻

Hey tdavis, before I pull the trigger for PE just wanted to ask. I love PE (I probably saw all videos on youtube lol), the only thing that I'm not sure: does it quite down after cold start? I really love how it sounds on cold startup with roar and burbles, but if it quiets down in 2 min - then I'm a bit afraid to not been able to appreciate its sound unless pushed really hard - and I can't see myself really revving it on Daily Drive. Does it keep same roar character? Can you comment please on that

Haha, PE is exactly like that - wife friendly. It has no drone and can be quite on idles when warmed up AFAIK. If you want something more loud - then maybe you should look into some custom/more expensive aftermarket ones - but I doubt they will be drone free and/or wife friendly

Or get a custom straight pipe with resonater/muffler delete and tell the wife to suck it!

PE Question
Sounds like BMW PE is the way to go. Is the BMW PE just a muffler or does it come with a midpipe as well? Seems to cost around $1200. Is is a DIY project or do you need a lift?
Thanks |

tdavis knows better than me, but AFAIK it comes with OEM bmw muffler and piping all the way to cats. Then you need to cut your current pipe behind cats (a foot behind roughly) and weld on this PE - for a muffler shop - it's a 15min job, or DIY - if you have all the tools. I think it sounds better than anything on n52. Now on M3 there are other better exhausts, but imho PE is the one to go for n52. It aso has no droning - which is VERY hard to find with any other aftermarket exhausts. I think BMW really made a nice one with PE

Tough question to ask unless you actually hear the exhaust in person. But you can't go wrong with the PE.

You don't have to weld it on it should come with exhaust clamps or you can buy the clamps from BMW.

I recently installed the BMW PE on my 328i. It has the perfect volume IMO because I can keep the windows shut and listen to music or have a conversation very comfortably, or roll down the windows and enjoy the beautiful noise it makes. I did it myself in my garage with a floor jack and some stands. You just need a tool for cutting off the old pipes.

I finally pulled the trigger for PE - will post videos with sound comparison (not that there are lack of them on youtube lol). However, I am 100% sure that stock exhaust is just a non-exhaust at all - it's like absence of any sound. IMHO bmw should not be sold like this, there should be at least some sound
