Jay Leno's Garage

So I was watching the new episode tonight and it bugged the hell out of me that Jay kept calling the carbon ceramic brakes, carbon fiber. He's a car guy! He said it like 5 times! Hahaha

Well they are mostly made of shreds of carbon fiber, so he's kinda right.

I love his show, and yes he'll occasionally say things odd, but overall it's correct information.

I wanted to hate his show so badly but I really dig it. It's one of those things that seems to pile up on my Tivo but I ended up watching like six episodes in a row last Friday night. He's wittier than I expected and he really does know his cars.

Close enough for me to not care, not like he is calling an inline 6 a V-6.

I like his show, all it has to be is better than my alternatives.

His YouTube channel is his way of inviting the public into his garage. Don't think you can sign up for a public tour, sure he brings a lot of people through to browse as eluded to in some videos, but general tours I don't think so.

Yeah, for his YouTube videos there is something charming about his unscripted (maybe researched) but deep knowledge. I seem to think the times he recounts stories about his father, mother or brother, there is a humor and storytelling that I find very appealing..... just like Scotty Kilmer

Don't get me wrong.... I love the show. I watch it every week. That just struck me as odd with him being as knowledgeable about cars as he is. He's still awesome though.

I consider myself to be a knowledgeable automotive enthusiast. However, I would wager that Jay Leno has forgotten more about cars than I will ever know. Especially, cars from defunct brands that most people have never heard of.
