Anyone have install advice AA headers

Just got them in today and am looking to install on jack stands. Is that going to be enough clearance to slide them out the bottom? I think it should be pretty easy unless the exhaust bolts give me problems.

What about the O2 sensors? I noticed these have four holes drilled and threaded with only two plugs for all four. Is it pretty obvious what holes the plugs stay in and what holes the sensors go in?

Yes. Make sure you keep the 02 sensors in the right bank (Ie, front, or rear) and label them. Also keep the proper position (upper and lower).

Are there four O2 sensors one each pre cat and one each post cat? I know I will figure this all out tomorrow but I want to know before I get into it not during.

There are 4 TOTAL.

Bank 1 has a pre and post
Bank 2 has a pre and post

Make sure the wires and sensors do not crisscross.

Got it! Thanks.

Its really just removing the cowl, engine cover, under side cover, O2 sensors, and then the actual exhaust manifold correct? I'm not going to run into any crazy bolts or nuts or need four hands?

Removing some things helps reach bolts easier.

Unclipping the sensor from the radiator expansion tank and moving it out of the way helps reach some bolts. There's a bracket on the engine block that attaches a ground wire to it that needs to be removed to reach some bolts as well.

Biggest advice: get a ratcheting 11m wrench. Worth every penny on this install.

Check all nuts and bolts that came with your kit. My bolts and nuts were not right size and it required a quick run to the store.

There is a lot of good information regarding install. I posted some tips while back too.

10 hours to install!?!!?? Did you take a nap under the car?

BTW I looked for pointers but all I found was talk of rough idle.

I wish.

Didn't have proper tools, didn't have any help, frequent mid-job runs to the store.

Get these https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-8-Pi...ch-Set/3367222

You just need 11mm one. I think lowes sells it for about $20. Don't even think about it, just get it. It will make your life easier.

You can also use something like this - so you can use power tools
https://www.amazon.com/Titan-Flexibl.../dp/B00355GLBY

If I had to do it again, i think it can be done in under 4 hours.

What pointers do you need? It's super straight forward job. Getting headers back in place can be a bit finicky. But nothing too major.

Really was just looking for recommended tools and you and one other have both said the 11mm ratchet wrench is all I need.

Do you slide one manifold in at a time? Or do you need to get both slid up into position and then go back under the hood to get them on the bolts?

For tools, once again, i can't stress hard enough that ratcheting wrenches with pivoting head will be a lifesaver due to tight access and very awkward angle.

Both manifolds at the roughly same time. Just place them losely in there. take 1-2 nuts and just put them on to hold them in place and to hold those O rings. Once you maneuvered both in place, only then start tightening them.
