Gas pedal squeaks

Did anybody had an issue with gas pedal squeak noise?
I have 5100km on the odo, 2 months old car, and today suddenly the gas pedal started to make noises, seems it is more prominent when the pedal is in the upper 20% range, once it is pressed farther down to the floor it does not make any noise.
What gives?

The"click" at the end is the transmission "kick down feature".
Standard for Auto BMW's

I think he is rather referring to a noise from the moving pedla
