Perpetually flashed by oncoming traffic - xenons?
Hi,
I've noticed that pretty much every time I drive in the dark with my headlights on, I get flashed by oncoming cars. I can only assume it's because the xenons are quite powerful and people are mistakenly thinking I have my beams on? I drive an LCI e92. Whenever it happens now I tend to flash them back, more to notify them that I actually don't have my beams on than anything else. Although that doesn't stop the odd person flashing me back in response to me flashing them... missing the point somewhat I suspect! Anyone else experience this? |

Only recently had xenon'son the new e91 and have noticed this a couple of times too... I have assumed exactly the same as you that they are just very bright, but am interested to hear any other views...
Are yours adaptive? (Are they all...?) |

As mentioned already get them aligned , you are probably blinding on coming motorists. Turn your lights on and stand around 50 yards from your car and position yourself at the same height and position an on coming drivers head will be positioned . See if you can look at the lights, you should be able too. If it's like looking into the sun and your eyes screw up that's what the oncoming drivers have been suffering.

Get the beam throw aligned at BMW!
I took mine there, and they didnt charge too much for the job! Mine were thrown out when the car was lowered, and I was illuminating the tops of road signs / trees - it was ridiculous! |

I have the same problem. Something else I notice is that reflective roadsigns blind me when I have full beam on driving in the dark. I have to dip for oncoming roadsigns! FML

Wow I thought I was the only one with this issue, yeah I get flashed at almost every time I drive at night. It's a matter of time before a police officer stops me

I get flashed too in mine when I over take cars. I think my lights must fill their car with light when I'm behind them although the beam only goes up as far as their rear bumper.
