Alignment problems
Went in to get an alignment today because I noticed uneven tire wear on my right tires. They put the car on the lift and checked the alignment but told me they couldn't align it because it's a BMW? my alignment is clearly VERY messed up. What are the recommended alignment specs for f30? I'm going to take it to a BMW specialist shop tomorrow.

Your shop must be incompetent, BMWs are very easy to align for toe, it's only a matter of a turning a screw.
The specs are known to the computer in general, that's why you get green/orange/red coloring to denote whether you're in line with factory recommendations or not

I went and had alignment checked recently - same report as you.
Had alignment actually done at BMW Dealer where I had tires mounted. The 2 "current" reports don't look anything alike (in terms of numbers). Local Tire Chain (which you have seen advertise free 5 minute check such as you have) report shows rear off, front fine. BMW Dealer shows rear fine, front off. Asked Service Manager. He claims the numbers in the computers of Independent Shops are different and not BMW Spec. So I really am wondering at this point.... |
