Alloy advice

Getting a little tired of 18's but mine being a se I can't slap on m sport rims with SE bumpers. It doesn't suit the car imo.

I've got the chrome trim around the windows and love the 'luxury spec' look it has..

Any advice on what I can put ? Thinking of putting some 19 7 series alloys on...

Personally I'd just go with whichever rims you like.

Nothing wrong with adding newer (or sport) rims to your SE.

My Build 1st page has pics of the 313's on my SE and if you look further into the build you'll see plenty of pics of them and other rims since them on my car.

Yea seen your transformation.. That was something else !

I'm thinking of these but unsure if they would actually look good or not..
I don't no whether it would ruin the stance and handling of the car tho

Thanks for the kind words

I really like them and personally think they'll look good. As long as they are spaced correctly the look will be good.

Are you lowered or anything etc?

Nope.. Fully stock suspension

Should I lower it a tad ? - I reckon since these alloys are slightly bigger the cars stance would appear to be sat a lot lower ?

I just hope they wouldn't affect the handling or performance .. Or would it ?

Only lower the car if you want the look tbh. If you are happy with the height as is then cool.

I personally think the 313's would look really good.

Have you considered aftermarket?

Fitting 19's with the correct tyre sizes will not really effect there handling that much and will maintain rolling circumference, so although will appear to reduce the arch gap they actually won't (it's marginal).

Not a big fan of aftermarket ..

If I put 19's - wouldn't that give the illusion of the car looking lower.. ?
Lowering cars is such an art imo... The is a perfect height which I find impossible to achieve..
Every time I see it in a new angle I would need to adjust it lol

Plus the 19's rear tyres are 285 !!!
Had my car on the ramp when I installed my PE, given my limited experience with alloys etc I didn't think it would have a snug fit without rubbing ..

Very nice. You don't like 230s then, I think they look good on a late SE

No I think they look awesome..
I guess I just don't want mine looking too similar to other cars lol

Hence the ones on my car I've seen on other cars a handful of times. I liked them at first but getting a little bored of them. If I could get my alloys in 19's I would get them in a heart beat !

Yep yours are nice, to be fair you don't see many unmollested 335i SEs about & lci SEs with 230s are fairly rare

A guy on the Aussie forums was selling a set of those very wheels. Have a browse through their for sale section. The ad was a while ago but might be worth a look. Shipping would be horrendous but still an option?

Personally I like the ones you have, can't say I have ever seen them in person.

Have you considered a refurb in a slightly differently colour? Could save some money that way by not having to get new tyres ect...
