What exhaust should I get?
Have a 2011 bmw 335i coupe, jb4, downpipes, etc. looking to get an exhaust now. Looking for a mean growl, not raspy/lawnmower noise. Any ideas?

Akrapovic are sold out, Active Autowerke perhaps? Not too many options for full systems, Vanguard is loud!
Catbacks you can look at MPE, Remus, Bastuck, Akrapovic and more, I would go for MPE! |

The real question is how loud do you want it. The eisenmann race is one of the loudest axle backs.

Get frsf. It's loud when needed and quiet when you want it. Plus it's under 700$.

If your patient, you could probably get them for $700 plus shipping; used of course, but they are SS. |

VRSF seems like a good choice for full system, I do enjoy the pops when releasing off the gas. For axle back system eisenmann seems like a good choice. I want a nice deep tone, screams on WOT. A lot of videos online are n54 and not n55 so wondering if it might sounds different. Also what's better? Full system since the piping will be larger?

Click here for various list of exhausts.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=531342 And here for various sound clips. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10687 I got the BME PE installed on my ride a few months ago. Love the meaner sound when I get on it and there's zero drone inside. This Youtube vid will give you a good idea how the BMW PE sounds inside and out: Good luck with whichever you choose!

you can always delete your secondary cats and do the PE mod to your muffler and put the money you saved into something else. it will sound great for a fraction of the price.
be sure to also upgrade to a nice x-pipe. |

I'd have to go with the VRSF myself. Good quality, good price point, and sounds good on the gas, mellow when cruising. And you drop 40 lbs of ugly weight.

So modbargins has the modified bmw exhaust for $499.99, what's the difference between that one and the PE exhaust on modbargins for $1300? Confused

Modbargins has one "modified exhaust" for 499.99. Is that pretty much the same as the PE? Also I believe all e92 already have x pipes?

Anyone know how much weight you'd drop with the PE vs stock??

Yeah their modified one is the stock mufflers with the PE mod. I've been thinking of getting it since they're offering $100 for the stock mufflers for locals.
