When you don't drive the 335i everyday

man is it a treat to drive, and I've owned this car since late 2006. If I were wealthy, a E9x 335i is a car I'd want in my stable.

Last year this car was pretty much off the road, put 1,400 miles on it, between Takata and the DSC hydro pump failure...

Lovin' the steering, brakes, and new PSS'....

I agree. It's a blast to drive especially when the weather is as nice as it is these days. I could only imagine what a convertible would be like.

That's what I think every time I pick it up from the shop after driving something else for a couple days. . .

Well, I do have new "bright silver" valve cover caps, as the TPMS were replaced when I got the new PSS'....haha nope, bone stock....

Seriously, even though we have floating calipers, the brakes feel perfect (patting myself on the back as I did the bleed and the brakes myself)....steering and brakes, hard to top!

p.s. what's your opinion on Bilsteins, if I'm just looking for a close to stock ride, seems like pricing is very reasonable, maybe even cheaper out the door/installed by indie, than stock shocks at the dealer....

The B6 Bilsteins are a great replacement for the stock shocks. No more floating on sweeping turns and at speed over dips in the road. I made this change based on a recommendation from a mechanic friend of mine that drove my car. The ride is just a little firmer than stock but nothing harsh. Great incremental option that made a nice difference without going too extreme. I picked mine up from Turner Motorsport and got a local shop Flemings Automotive ( http://www.*****************.com/ ) to do the install and alignment.

I always thought the 335i was a fun drivers car, until I get into my Mroadster. Don't get me wrong, the 335i is amazing, but nothing as visceral as the top down cruising in a wide and short wheelbase roadster.

Thanks, nice, I will consider them and check them out...my boots are torn (or could be the bump stop swelled up), and so the pistons are exposed front and rear, age thing I guess....
