Steering wheel up/down arrows wrong way around?

my up and down arrow buttons on the steering wheel seem the wrong way around for me.

up is back and down is next track...surely should be the other way around? My pre LCI E90 was the other way..

sounds like your old car was non idrive and the new car has idrive - I have exactly the same issue! Seems a bit backwards at first but if you think that skipping to the next track would involve going down the list on the screen I guess they decided that skip forward had to be downwards to match what the screen was doing - is rather annoying though, I never have the screen turned on and had over 6 years in my old E92 getting used to one way of working, took a while to retrain myself!

The buttons work to how the track list is in the idrive so when your pressing down it's going down to the next song on the list.

yes when I first bought the car and hadn't thought of how it'd work on the screen etc I thought it was crazy, even thought about whether it could be coded otherwise! It does make sense when you think about the screen track direction though so learning to live with it is the only sensible choice
