Whatever happened to the Mercedes GT and Tesla reports?
A couple of years ago there were reports and some discussion about the new Mercedes GTs freezing up and refusing to drive after a small number of miles on them. (Under a couple of hundred as I recall.) And Mercedes quietly took back the cars and gave the owners new ones. I've looked and looked and can't find anything on that. Did Mercedes do a great PR job or were these false reports?
Likewise, in that time frame there were reports about Tesla S cars having to have their motors replaced at around 65,000 miles. I can't find anything about that any more either. Does somebody know?
