Can I Change The DME?

What am I supposed to do if I want an ECU tune. someone said switching to MSV70 from my current MSV90 is not possible. is this true?

is there any sort of custom tune out there that will work for the MSV90, or am I stuck?

I suspect the same thing applys to a N52 in a 3 series as a 5
so changing from one stock tune to another is not going to do anything.

You can't squeeze much more out of a N52 than it comes with but
what people do to get maybe 30 more hp is a three stage Intake
and a AA tune .

See the NA motor thread in the first link.

Nope. No. Absolutely, no.

In case you were wondering, no.

It is probably feasible to flash it somehow, but the F10 528i being a transition year, it's a very small market and unlikely to be worth the R&D resources it would take. The only way it will happen is if you learn how to do it yourself (start learning disassembly! or just buy a faster car).

My engine already came with a 3 stage manifold from the factory! I have 221 ft/lb of torque like the 3 stage 330i, but only 240HP (extra 10hp from switch to electric power steering.) so my third stage (4500rpm+ unfortunately is not optmized) so in theory, I should be seeing 265HP from an ECU tune alone.

but the reason why I was asking is because the end goal is catless headers, and I should be seeing almost 280hp which I feel like will be enough for me to be happy with the car for a long time.

arghh!!! I want catless headers and I want to hold on to this car, but its too slow for me right now! I guess I will have to figure it out. I know there is a thread on bimmerfest of someone with the 3L 523i reflashing his ECU to my 528i tune.

You're the only person that's trying to mod an N52 528i, which means you're going to have to either a) do what hassmachine says or b) spend a lot of money for someone else to learn it.

Mazda Speed 3 maybe instead? It seems like you're after tunability. NA cars are not as tuner friendly as turbo cars.

A naturally aspirated 6 with catless headers is the goal. Doesn't look like it will be easy to get there

Not gonna happen, no one can code your DME, deal with it.

And get rid of your mom's mall chariot, get a real car, and try again. Maybe, oh I don't know, an e9x so your posts will be relevant to this group?

Or not, pretty sure no one here cares anymore.

@ mom's chariot. Oddly enough I recommend the exact car to my mom.

My car is stock, but I know for coding purposes, some guys have pretty fancy power supplies because they don't want to brick a module.

How about something like this?

Back in the day, folks on the forum said I could get 2 HP on my Maxima with a K&N filter, so I tried it...about all I did was reduce my mpgs!
