Locked out my trunk with no battery
I was replacing battery today..took it out and closed my trunk with the keys inside by accident..no fold down rear seats anyway i can get in the trunk??

If you hook power to it now it may burn something up depending
on the way the battery distribution block is laying . And it may not get power to the cabin electronics if you disconnected the big outside red wire (furtherest left on the battery distribution block)which is what controls the locks anyway. |

OP locked his key FOB in the trunk after replacing the battery (which should have power) and therefore needs to get a new FOB, or key, made at the local dealer if he has proof of registration.
The OP in the thread link had his key FOB, which has no physical key, but there was no power for him to open the trunk which others replied on how to use the jumper points in the engine bay to get power.

He said he took the battery out left the key s in the
trunk then locked it in the first post . So no battery in the car and keys locked in the trunk the best of all possible disasters. "I was replacing battery today..took it out and closed my trunk with the keys inside by accident." |
