gasoline smell by rear driver wheel and car struggles to start
Hi all,
For the last week car has smelled like gasoline, the inside is smelling, and after a drive turn off the car and you can smell a strong gasoline smell by the driver side wheel. Car has also started to struggle in first attempt to start. I know is not the starter because I just replaced it a month ago. Anyone had this experience before, and should I not be driving the car? 330i 2006 145k miles automatic. Anyone experience this before? Where to look ? |

I had the same problem with my E92. The LPFP developed a crack in the top and I would smell fuel on the driver's side by the rear tire. I could not figure it out and it just started leaking a lot of fuel. The fuel pump was under the driver's side rear seat. That would be the first place to look. Your fuel pump will be in the same location. Rear seat comes out easily.
