Car won't start after removing intake manifold?

Hi All,

Removed EGR and intake manifold to clean and have swirl flaps deleted and now the car won't start. I did disconnect the battery so not sure if it's an immobilized issue? It cranks and fuel is coming out the injectors but that's about it :/

Did you remember to put the manifold back on?

Joking aside, check and double check all hoses and electrical connections in case one was missed

Any fault codes showing?

Hi Bishbosh,

I don't know why but there was an airlock and we had to undo each injector, crank until fuel appeared and then tighten.. by the time we done the 5th injector it was showing signs of firing and once the 6th was done and re tightened it started. It was nice to see that I had done the EGR, intake manifold and all connections correctly first time.. why it had an airlock though I don't know.

Only time I had an air in the fuel system was when I did a fuel filter change. On the N47 engine it self bleeds so just needed priming a few times and a bit of cranking longer than usual.

All's well that ends well anyway!
