F30 M Performance Steering Wheel DIY?

Hi there,
I'm getting the M Performance steering wheel with race display. Part#32302230189 and I only can found the DIY for the f80 which seems the same but different part number, so I don't know if I can follow the same instructions.
Here.
http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1204092

F80 one

F30 one

Also getting the Mp interior kit.

Thanks man, I just put my order in. Also, are all the wires and parts need it for the retrofit included in the package right? Part#32302230189

Thats right, you wont need any extra parts to buy. Heres a photo how it looks with all the M-Performance stuff installed that I had owned. Btw, my wheel had suede instead of the dakota standard leather, I loved it

Dang3r what interior trim covers are installed in the car? Are these carbon matted? Where to buy?
I've just seen glossy carbon covers and the M Performance covers with alcantara.
Would be very interested to know where to get those carbon matted cover set.

This will look good as part of the trim, steering wheel and Hand brake use alcantara. Will take a pic next week after installation.

I wont disappoint you, but those trims are entirely CF wrapped by myself and cant be bought as shown.
If you are interested in how to do, refer to the DIY section, there the "Dinoc CA-421" thread and you will find lots of infos how to get them. If have also one blue/hex silver center trim left, already wrapped. If you want to buy, Switzerland isnt too far away

Danke! Just found a source to get the CA-421 foil in a shop nearby. Think I can do a DIY myself.
Don't like the reflections the silver interior trims are causing in the windshield.

Drool!

Hence this occured to me: The more you'll use the two buttons, the more the suede will look used very quickly. But this is essential to get the display to work and every 10 minutes again to keep it alive, theres no other way to interrupt this. Plus the display and the LED's would not work as long as the car temperature within is above 40 deg Celsius.
Those information came to me very late after installation and for the expensive call of BMW at selling this piece, it was a small disappointment to me.
Coming back to the buttons: I had a small soft toothbrush which was used once a week to "restore" the suede.

Nice to know. I'm wondering if there is a way to code this to auto on at start up, yeap very annoying to press both every start up and every 10 min to wake up.

Here is a little vid in action.

Can I ask how you did the accents on the doors?. I have a mineral white car and was thinking of doing glossy carbon fiber with matte white carbon fiber accents for the dash and door.

The car was delivered as shown, blue accents all around, front and rear. No afterwards mods done. Aside of the trim panels (CF wrapped), door handles (CF wrapped) and loudspeaker covers (blue metal ring).
