BMW indi recommendation West Mids

Can anyone recommend a decent BMW indi that they have had good experience from around the west midlands area?

the one that I have been using no longer does work as he has moved onto other things.

I need 2x rear wheel bearings being replaced on my 335d, I already have the bearing kit and just need someone to fit it for me.

I am willing to travel a bit further out but would mean I would have to wait with the car as have no transport to get back.

thanks

The guys at The Works in Solihull have a good rep. They specialise in both BMW and MINI

For something like a wheel bearing why not use any reputable garage near by?

Just saying...

I would prefer to take it to a garage off an recommendation, there are quite a few garages near me but have had no dealings with them. I have been "ripped off" in the past on more than one occasion with local garages and promised not to go to garages without recommendations (probably my bad luck lol).

the last guy I used him for 4+ years but he no longer works in the trade

Hi Alex,

I popped down to Paul on Saturday and when I said "there's a guy who said he drives from Liverpool to see you" he said "Oh yeah that's Alex" haha.

Have to say he was absolutely brilliant, he never had much time to look into it properly but you can tell he knows his stuff straight away. He literally opened my bonnet and pointed out a lot of things.. Thankfully, Paul said given it's age and what not the engine doesn't sound to bad at all. The knock I had is intermittent and couldn't be heard at the time I was there. The coolant loss I have could also be why I'm having smoke come out of the dipstick, he said it's possible that the EGR cooler is leaking in with the exhaust gasses I think. And with the knock.. well it could be a lot of things but he told me a few things I could check myself

All in all it was a good morning

I've promised myself to only go to garages with positive reviews and highly praised on forums. We live in a social media generation now. Businesses need to up their game and realise every customer counts. Sick of businesses taking customers for granted and treating them like dirt.
