Hi everybody.Im after a bit of advice pls.Just had my rear passenger side tyre checked on my 2007 e90 because it was loosing pressure and found out it was excessively worn on the inside but the other rear tyre is fine.Been told its the tracking that's the problem.Somebody else said I need 4 wheel alignment doing.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Pics enclosed[IMG][/IMG]

Tracking and possibly running pressures too low. I always have my run-flats at the fully loaded pressures regardless of how many people/load etc. When I first got my car I had similar on the rears and was told tracking and pressures. Regular weekly checks of pressures and running at the previously mentioned settings and I've never had the problem since.

I can't tell from the picture if your tyres are run flats or not but still applicable.

Yes 4 wheel alignment needed. Can get them done for £20-30 quid these days.

Check your camber setting.

I don't know about £30 but £65 from some places for 4 wheel is possible. BMW wheel adjustment parts are prone to seizing though. Can sometimes require replacement of parts. Like track rods.

Tracking is either miles out or something is damaged.

also rear trailing arm bushes ,or other bushes on one side could be shot,had this on an mgzt cdti quite a few years ago.not same car but they did have a lot of bmw running gear and also the 320d engine from bmw.and laser alignment would need done afetr if getting bushes done,also if track rod ends have gone/drop links.

exactly the same with mine mate, I get through set of tyres every 5-6k on the rear.

Had wheel alignment done three times this year already. Running run flats its definitely hurting the wallet.
I keep them up to 48 psi which has helped a little but still cheeses me right off

mine was like that until i had hunter 4 wheel alignment and dumped the run flats. Loads of miles on the next set of tyres, great wear pattern too.

I'd certainly say it's pressures and toe being out. I'm running -2.1degrees of camber on the rear and no issues but I have adjustable toe arms to ensure toe is properly set. Pressures can make a huge difference too.

Camber won't affect the wear that much, unless it's only touching the road on that edge.
Toe is the main factor for tyre wear.

To me that looks like it's rubbing something more than tracking/alignment
