2009 Business Idrive

Hi guys.

So I've found a car I'm interested in! I spoke to the guy and it turns out the Idrive it has is the business edition. Now what am I missing by having business as opposed to professional? I can't find any definite answers.

As far as I can tell I don't get split screen ability but I'm not sure what else? It has the latest controller with the 6(?) buttons, what features do I get? The main use I would like would be the nav occasionally, and Iphone integration? But if anyone can let me know what I can even do with business and what I lose by not having pro I would be grateful.

Thanks.

If Nav only occasionally , don't see why you'd be that bothered about screen size.
No idea what you mean by iPhone integration , my iPhone pairs to my 2004 M3 to take calls.
Anything more than that I'm clueless.

Yeah not a lot of nav, mainly for when I have to travel for gigs etc...

And what I was wondering was whether you could say, connect spotify but then control/skip songs etc from the idrive controller itself? Not a big deal I just have no idea what features the idrive brings to the car (I just like the nav and think it makes the interior look much better) and what features are gained by having pro over business?

If it can't do what you want musically, I would be gobsmacked if there's not a simple fix.
Guy I know who's an auto electrician , configures all cars with all kinds of gadgets

That's a good point! Not a deal breaker for me anyway! Think I will be heading up to look/buy if it's any good next week! Finally!! 160 miles away so fingers crossed it's good
